It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice who can scarcely boil pasta, or an accomplished home chef who wants to take on a new cuisine; Los Angeles private chef Ariane Resnick is an expert at making new ventures enjoyable regardless of your current skill set. Her kitchen is casual, and her instruction style is anecdotal and easy to follow. Your lessons will feel more like cooking with a friend than learning from a teacher as you discover that complex dishes can be simply mastered.

From kitchenettes in the West Village of New York City to professional-calibur kitchens in estates of Bel Air, Ariane has worked one on one with a wide array of people to turn home cooked meals from daunting to exciting. She communes with clients on everything from making their kitchen area as user friendly and intuitive as possible to the importance of mise en place.

Culinary instruction sessions can be booked by the day or week, with 7-8 hours a day spent learning new techniques and recipes specific to the dietary restrictions on hand. Prior to your time together, Ariane consults virtually with you to discern dietary needs and current skill sets. She then draws up a comprehensive document that includes the techniques and recipes to be taught, broken down to the hour for each day, and sends recipe and shopping lists for approval in advance.

The daily rate for home culinary instruction is $1200, and she offers a 10% discount when a full five day week is booked. If you are located outside of the Los Angeles area, travel and accommodations are to be provided. Interested in this service? Send Ariane an email detailing your needs, and she’ll be happy to schedule an initial discussion.
